This work represents how by 2050, our oceans might contain more plastic than fish. Based on current predictions, our oceans might contain at least 937 million tons of plastic and 895 million tons of fish.

8.3billion tonnes of plastic has been produced since the 50s with the majority ending up in landfill or polluting the world’s continents and oceans.
Plastic use has increased 20-fold in the last 50 years, and it's continuing to rise.

'Best before 22-04-50' - First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. 2050 is the environmental yardstick being used by many scientists and experts for outlining climate change predictions.
